Thousands of patients
told us the same thing…

These voices shaped how we built everything within the Engivio app:
to bring calm, clarity, and confidence to every stage of recovery.

Built from science. Designed for real life.

We analyzed hundreds of published studies, recovery patterns, and real-world data from people going through hip and knee replacements - before and after surgery.

Then we turned that research into something patients could actually use:

a user-friendly app that helps you see where you stand and what to do next.

Why It Matters

Most people don’t realize recovery success starts long before (and continues long after) surgery.

6 in 10 patients experience preventable recovery delays.
Few know which habits, supports, or risks matter most.
People who prepare early and track recovery later tend to heal faster, move better, and feel more confident.

The Engivio app helps you do both — before surgery, and after.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to Things People Often Ask
What does my Readiness mean?
Readiness reflects how prepared your health is right now to handle physical and life demands related to surgery and recovery. It brings together information you share (and optional health data, if connected) to give a snapshot, not a medical judgment or decision. Readiness is not a diagnosis and does not determine whether you should or should not have surgery.
How is Readiness calculated?
Your readiness view is informed by established research on recovery, behavior change, and functional health. It reflects a combination of information you share in the app (such as everyday movement, support, and habits) and optional connected health data, if you choose to enable it. These inputs are summarized into patterns and signals that help highlight areas that may benefit from more support or focus. No single response determines your readiness, and this view does not make medical judgments or diagnoses.
When will my Readiness improve?
Readiness can change. Small, consistent actions—especially those focused on the areas needing the most support-can help improve readiness gradually. Some changes may show up sooner, while others take longer and build quietly in the background. Engivio helps make those changes visible over time, so progress that's hard to feel day-to-day doesn't go unnoticed-before and after surgery.
What are the Daily Picks?
Daily Picks are short, simple actions suggested for you each day. These "dailies" are designed to be small and doable, relevant to your current readiness signals, and easy to fit into daily life. Daily Picks are not medical instructions and do not replace guidance from your care team.
Are they effective?
Daily Picks are based on evidence-informed principles that emphasize small, consistent actions over time. While no single action creates change on its own, repeated small actions can support preparation, recovery habits, and awareness. Your experience may vary, and results are not guaranteed.
Do I need a watch or wearable?
No — a wearable is optional. Your iPhone already does a great job tracking steps and walking patterns on its own, especially when you keep it with you (like in your pocket or bag). If you use a wearable such as an Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, or others, Engivio can also use that data as long as it's connected to Apple Health. A wearable can add more detail, but it's not required to use Engivio or see meaningful progress.
Can I share my progress with my doctor?
Yes. If you choose, you can share parts of your readiness or progress with your doctor or care team. Sharing is always optional and controlled by you. Engivio does not automatically send your information to anyone.
Is my data secure?
We take data protection seriously. Your information is used to provide app features like readiness views, Daily Picks, and progress tracking. You can delete your data or account at any time. Engivio does not use health data for advertising and does not sell personal health information.
